Mortimer & Whitehouse Gone Fishing Music Playlist

Mortimer & Whitehouse Gone Fishing is a multi BAFTA-nominated show that first aired on BBC2 in 2018 and all three series are available to view on BBC iplayer

MWGF is the fishing show that is not really about fishing. In each episode comedians, Bob Mortimer (61, portly, unskilled) and Paul Whitehouse (62, slender, highly skilled) spend a couple of days by the river in pursuit of that week's target fish.

Whilst fishing they meditate on life, friendship, and death.

The show makes me laugh and cry, very powerful...Great conversations, beautiful natural surroundings and music that touches the heart.

Vikcast YouTube Channel

Vikcast - It's A Viking Thing

THe official Youtube channel is another content option for fans of the podcast in both audio and video options.

Amy Bailey - Queen Kwenthrith

Vikings was about family life and it was about power and it was about greed and pain and grief and all the things that make us human. This show is popular all over the world and it doesn’t matter what race, creed or colour you are. It has resonated with people because it’s a very human show. That is why we made Vikcast.

Clive Standen - Rollo

"The reason why it’s so successful is it breaks all the boundaries of traditional television. It’s not just an historical drama, it’s got the action and the intrigue and the battles and the voyaging which most historical dramas lack. It’s got a nuclear family at the centre of it. Its not just about the rading and the pillaging and the battling and the brawling that’s just the backdrop for the show. Its actually about a nuclear family trying to survive in a fierce climate. Vikcast will be a podcast for every Viking fan."

Athelstan - Vikings

George Blagden aka Athelstan was one of the most significant characters in the TV series Vikings.

So, it was a thrill to get him on board with the Vikcast podcast

Clive Standen and Amy Bailey talked with him about Bald Spots, Crucifixion, and being kidnapped in Ireland.

Vikcast - It's A Viking Thing

Good projects take time, for the last few months I have had the pleasure of working with @CliveStanden and @officialamybailey from Vikings on a brand new #podcast.

We’ve called it ‘Vikcast’ and as Vikings would call their community meetings ‘A Thing’ we say Vikcast - “it’s A Viking Thing

Its currently in over 80 countries and needs captions for at least 6 languages

Vikings the TV series was on the history channel and amazon prime and it redefined our knowledge of Vikings history and was a compelling series that grew into one massive Community worldwide.

Podcasts are all about a community and a following that care about the subject and the people involved.

In Vikcast the presenters and the listeners are all one in the project.
